Validation of Mentorship Standards for Nurses and Midwives In Uganda
7th May 2018
The Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) together with the Royal College of Midwives and its partner the Uganda Private Midwives Association introduced the MOMENTUM project through which the development of draft standards for nurses and midwives was initiated. After a series of reviews and meetings, the standards have now reached a stage of validation which which will take place on 7th May 2018 at Lourdel Tower.
Midwifery Kits handover
March 14th 2018
UPMA in collaboration with the UNFPA Uganda hosted the Swedish Ambassador to Uganda, to hand over midwifery kits to 20 midwives from the hard-to-reach areas of UNFPA who had received health business skills training in 2016. The event took place at the UPMA secretariat in Mengo.
