Building capacity of midwives through e-learning platforms

UPMA members receive capacity development through different initiatives like training's. This time round UPMA has embarked on engaging its members in online training's in order to improve on their computer skills as well as the use of technology. The e learning training's do not involve spending a lot of time in classroom, they are convenient and give midwives time to perform other duties. 25 UPMA members are currently enrolled on the e learning platform on nutrition with support from Amref and Danone access Africa. The course focuses on equipping nurse and midwives with knowledge, practical skills and competencies in Early Life Nutrition during the first 1000 days.
